Topics at Camp: “Who am I?” for teenagers

*Peer Pressure*

*Self-Awareness*

*Self-Confidence*

*Who am I? *

As soon as a person, understands the concept of peer pressure and what effect it has over him/her, he/she should start appreciating how limitless his/her lives can be, without being measured by the view point of others.

This is where personal growth starts, and self-awareness kicks in, where it teaches him/her, to know his/her own strengths and weaknesses, and not just acknowledging it, but also accepting it.  The moment this happens to a person; he/she will be empowered to take control, over his/her own life decisions and preferences.

With self-awareness, comes the delightful benefits of self-confidence and the sweet wisdom thereof.  This is where a person will evolve into a positive influencer, opposed to being the one who previously were easily influenced by others.  With enough self-confidence, a person will slowly but surely, start to imprint, the same self-confidence he/she feels, on to those that spends time with him/her daily.

With this new found self-confidence, which takes him/her to a personal growth-level of being skilled to say NO, to situations and scenarios, that he/she truly feels uncomfortable with.  And as he/she expresses more and more confidence, his/her own standards and preferences will suddenly surface and it be will noticed by others, how the he/she, starts to bloom like a beautiful new wild flower, after a very long and cold winter.

Only then will this person realize without a doubt the true answer to the question …

“Who am I?”

Peer Pressure?

Any individual or crowd of people, that you unconsciously or consciously see as someone, whom is in some way or another superior to you.

Self-awareness?

To develop the skill, to accept and use your weaknesses, combined with your strengths to make successful decisions, and take better actions that will benefit your good standards.
